Social events after interviews!
The second set of interviews is approaching quickly, so we wanted to tell you about a couple small social events we have planned. On the Friday and Saturdays of the interview weekends, we will be going to O'Grady's Bar and Restaurant (171 college street, right across from the U of T Campus), a U of T Medicine regular hangout. It is a chance to relax a bit, talk to current med students and your fellow applicants, and just have a little fun on these otherwise intense weekends. For the upcoming weekend, we will be at O'Grady's starting around 4:00pm on Friday Feb 26th, and at 3:00pm on Saturday the 27th. Some food will be provided, and good times are guaranteed.
Also, on Saturday Mar 27th at 4PM, a number of first and second year medical students are shaving and waxing for cancer. The event is called Smiling Over Sickness ( click to visit the homepage), and will be taking place during the Toronto Marlies hockey game at the Ricoh Coliseum. If you would like to join the event you can email ticketsales.sos@gmail.com for tickets. Tickets are $15, and $3 from each ticket will be donated to cancer research.
All the best in your preparation, and as always, let us know if you have any
questions.
